Decorated Rose Frame

I was commissioned by a lovely lady to make a Decorated Frame for a very old picture she had of her grandmother.  Her grandmother's name was Fredericka Reinhardt and she lived till she was 101 years of age. Fredericka was born on the 13th September 1893.

10 Coats of paint and 3 coats of varnish later this is the end result.

This is the 11 inch x 13 inch Frame completed!

This is a close up of the cluster of roses in the left hand corner of the frame.

This is a close up of the right hand side of the frame adorned with more roses, bling and ribbon.

Products used in this project:
Frame - the frame was made by my wonderful father.
Paint - Dusty Attic - Dusty Pink and Alabaster White - Molossi.
Varnish - Dusty Attic - Clear Gloss - Molossi.
Glue - Tacky Craft Glue - Crafter's Choice - Molossi.
Roses - Enthaily.
Own Stash - Ribbon, Rhinestone Heart embellishment.

I have entered this piece into the following challenges:

  3. Angela, This is now a heritage piece, beautiful hardly does it justice. The floral arrangement is outstanding. I have a picture of Mommy with one of those wicker carriages and Granny was born in 1884 and left in 1993, 2 months before her 109th. Thank you for posting with us this week at Word Art Wednesday. Please come back with your framed work I have been so blessed seeing this.
