My Bestie Layout Page

I wanted to showcase the Decoupage in a different way, so I decided to do a Scrapbook Page layout. A idea would be to include a granddaughter or daughter's photograph in the page, unfortunately, I don't have either so I decided to showcase Sherri's papers as well in my die cut with sentiment in the top right hand corner.

Easel Card with Rolls

I like to experiment and with this card I wanted to play with the rolls on the card, so I put a double layer of paper on the front (flat part near stoppers) so I could roll the top layer back and then I was able to enhance it with some roses.

Then with the top rolls I did a tear as far down as I thought appropriate and then rolled each side of the tear in a different direction to form the two rolls so I could position the star inside the pocket at the top.

Easel Card is open!

Close up of front rolls and button stoppers to hold the card open!

Scrapbook Layout Mixed Media

I decided to get my hands into the paint, mists and stencils today and go outside my comfort zone. I was very pleased how it turned out and hope you enjoy viewing it.

Mixed Media Layout

Products used in this project:
Cardstock - Kaisercraft CD111 Cookie.
Paper - Kaisercraft P886 Dude Attitude Collection.
Paper - Kaisercraft P518 Grubby Gala.
Modelling Paste - White - Monte Marte.
Glimmer Mists - Tattered Angels - Coffee Shop, Sun Sisters and Verdigris.
Perfect Pearls - Mist Spray - Kiwi - Ranger.
Dimensional Pearls - Butterscotch - Ranger.
Mod Podge - Plaid - Gloss Lustre.

My Tip!
For a more textured look while using the modelling paste, I layed down in different areas some adhesive mesh and coated in quite thick with the modelling paste and then removed the mesh and it gives a high density effect. Spray your areas with your mists and let dry before putting your main items down on your layout.

Mod Podge - I put a thick coat of Mod Podge over all the die cut words and it leaves a lovely shine when dry.

Challenges I'm entering this layout in are:
Treasured Times - Layering
The Craft Place Anything Goes
Avenue 613 From My Stash
Anyone for Anya Masculine and Grungy
Scrappy Hands Mixed Media
Once Upon a Sketch
