Perfectly Plaid & Christmas Gleaming Decoration

Today I set about creating another decoration for my December Class using the Perfectly Plaid and the Christmas Gleaming Bundles. These two bundles go so well together, so sad to be seeing them only available till the end of December. I have loved creating with them.

Shadow Box Frame

I created this Shadow Box using the Free As A Bird Stamp Set for a very good friend of mine as a gift  for always being there for me on my tough days and good. I hope she likes it, when the new catalogue came out in June last year this was her favourite set so here's hoping. It's been a long time creating this project and in the end if you are thinking of making one I strongly suggest you create everything for your layout first and just see where everything looks best and start creating.

CD Writing Set

This is my team swap I did for the team I'm on for the Stampin Up Conference this month in Sydney. I created a Writing Set by using a Stampin Up CD Case, inserting some DSP in the cover. I decorated a writing pad and adhered it to the inside of the case with adhesive magnetic sheets so it can be removed to use. I added a small pocket on the left hand side with a 2020 calender.

Nature's Beauty

I thought I'd share some of my swaps I have been making for the November Stampin Up Onstage in Sydney. For my first swap I have made some cards using the Nature's Beauty Stamp Set and the Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper. I like to use up all my Christmas Designer Series Paper before it becomes retired so this was a great opportunity to use the Feels Like Frost DSP. My favourite is the Deer with the backdrop of the Feels Like Frost DSP.

Christmas Gleaming

My card today is using a few different techniques, one is to create your own template by punching out the bauble shapes with the punches and some window sheets or acetate. I put my template over a piece of shimmery white cardstock and sponged the baubles and then removed the acetate and stamped on top of the sponged baubles. I then cut out the sponged and stamped baubles with the punches and stamped them with my versamark ink pad and coated them with clear embossing powder and using my heat tool to set them.

I then created the frame with my stitiched rectangles framelits on a piece of shimmery white cardstock which I had embossed with the scripty embossing folder. I applied this to the layers of my card with adhesive foam strips. Glued the smaller bauble and sentiment to the frame. Adding the larger baubles to inside the frame with glue and stampin' dimensionals. Finally, adding some bling to the  baubles.

Stitched Shaped Stars

Today I have a fun technique to share with you, one I like to use with any punches or framelits I decide to use. Using a piece of Window Sheet or Acetate I have used my Stitched Stars Framelits and positioned 3 different sized stars on my Window Sheet and run it through the Die Cutting Machine to create my own original stencil. I then sponged through my stencil to create the design for the front of my card, finished off my card by adding a sentiment, some framelit stars and sequins.
