Poinsettia Christmas Card

I decided to create another Christmas Card today. I used the Plush Poinsettia Specialty Paper and cut out 4 of the flowers, sponged them with a dauber and some real red ink lightly. I then layered them using some of the new Stampin Up Adhesive Foam to give it some nice dimension. Then using different designer series paper designs and sizes and some lace and ribbon created the backdrop for my card. Finally adding the flower and sentiment.

Nothing's Better Than Colour Challenge

We have a new challenge each fortnight and this fortnight's challenge is a Colour Challenge. Use the photo below to create your card/project then once you have completed your creation for the challenge please go over to our group HERE and simply add your photo to our wall on our group with the hashtag #AWLSU068 before 8.30pm on Friday 6th November.
I have created this card using all the colours in this fortnight's colour challenge, I have brought in all the colours in my cardstock and also in the base colour of my card. I began with a Early Espresso Cardstock Base, then I had a piece of cardstock that I adhered to a piece of adhesive sheet and cut strips of all the cardstock colours and began adding them to my cardstock piece. I then gave it a bit of a trim  and stamped the Good Morning Magnolia in Versamark on top of all the stripes and embossed it in White. I then cut a large oval from my layering ovals from the Acetate Cardstock, then cut a smaller piece, I also cut 2 ovals in White Cardstock so I could glue them together so I would have a nice frame for my center piece. I embossed the sentiment on a smaller piece of vellum cardstock and glued the frame  only so you can't see any adhesive from the front of the vellum. Then adhere it to the large oval vellum and apply the glue to the wrong side of your center piece on the white frame and add it to your card. Then finally I cut 2 Chocolate Dies from the Nothing's Better Than Bundle out in Black Cardstock and glued them together and added them to my card.

Forever Fern

Today I have been experimenting with colors with the Forever Fern Bundle to create this Get Well Card. All the colors I have used are listed in the products below my picture, I started with a piece of Night of Navy Cardstock as my base card and created my spray of flowers on a piece of Vellum Cardstock, then added my strip of Mossy Meadow with my Sentiment from Healing Hugs Stamp Set. Finally, added some Gems in the corners and around my spray of flowers.

Birds and Branches

Today I thought I'd try something different, I have put the card inside the window sheet, I found this very difficult to photograph due to the reflection of the acetate or window sheet but it is well worth having a try of this style of card, it does give it a lovely look. I have used the Birds and Branches stamp set, the Itty Bitty Greetings for the Sentiment and the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper for inside my acetate pocket.
