Moving Along Slim Line Card

I have made a Slimline Card today using the Moving Along Stamp Set, I have coloured the images with my Stampin Blends. I didn't think I would like this size card but I quite enjoyed creating it and made a matching envelope for it to go in. I will be adding this to one of my classes this year, as I made the envelope with no envelope making components, just some dsp and scoring. It was so easy once you work out the measurements.

Free As A Bird & Detailed Hearts Die #AWLSU076 Colour Challenge

Join Our Challenge

Each fortnight we have a challenge over at Aussies Who Love Stampin' Up, we would love you to VISIT US on our facebook group and join in our challenge. We have a new challenge each fortnight and this fortnight's challenge is a Colour Challenge. Use the photo below to create your card/project then once you have completed your creation for the challenge please go over to our group HERE and simply add your photo to our wall on our group with the hashtag #AWLSU076 before 8.30pm on Friday 26th February.

I  started by cutting a piece of white cardstock which measured 6 inches x 4-1/4 inches and scored on the long side at half an inch. This is the back of your card, I then cut a piece of window sheet (this is for the acetate front of my card) and it measured 4-1/4 inches x 5.5 inches. I then put some adhesive sheet onto my Bermuda Bay cardstock and cut out my detailed hearts die and adhered this to the front of my acetate piece. I also cut out a detailed hearts die in Georgeous Grape cardstock and used some of the hearts on the bermuda bay piece on the front of the acetate piece. I then put a piece of tear and tape across the half inch scored area on the white piece of  cardstock and adhered my acetate to the half inch scored panel.

This next step is optional - I embossed a piece of Smoky Slate cardstock and adhered it to the inside of the card onto the half inch scored panel at the top inside of your card so it can be seen through the front of the card. This also makes your card on the inside look tidy when you add your images to the front of your card. I added a piece of smoky slate to the back of the card as this is where I will write my message.

I then sponged using the Stampin' Up! Sponge Brayers on a piece of white cardstock using my Highland Heather and Pretty Peacock ink pads, stamped my birds and flowers on the sponged area. I then fussy cut the birds and flowers out with my paper snips and adhered them to my card using some dimensionals and liquid glue. I also secured my acetate front by putting a mini glue dot under some of the solid hearts. Finally adding my sentiment and some jewel pearls.
